Clinical History
This is a 33-year-old patient who is being evaluated for bone marrow transplant.
Technique
A Stress RVG was ordered by the patient's physician, however, a resting RVG of the left ventricle was performed,
as the patient was too weak for a stress test. The patient was administered 28 mCi of 99mTechnetium labeled red blood cells.
Findings
The resting left ventricular ejection fraction measures 36%. Normal values are typically 50% or greater.
There is generalized hypokinesis of the left ventricle, and hypokinesis identified at the ventricular apex.
Impressions
LEFT VENTRICULAR EJECTION FRACTION MEASURING 36% WITH GLOBAL LEFT VENTRICULAR WALL
MOTION HYPOKINESIS.
