Clinical History
The patient is a 50 year-old female with resection of a glioma from the right temporal lobe. Recent abnormality on MRI
examination is seen in the right temporal lobe.
Technique
The patient was administered 10.82 mCi of F18 Fluorodeoxyglucose and 45 minutes later maging was obtained over the brain in transaxial, sagittal,
and coronal planes.
Findings
Decreased uptake is noted in the right temporal lobe consistent with previous resection of the tumor.
There is no increased uptake corresponding to the region of abnormality on the MRI examination. Additionally the
remainder of the brain demonstrates no areas of focal abnormal increased uptake.
Impressions
NO SIGNIFICANT AREA OF INCREASED UPTAKE TO SUGGEST TUMOR RECURRENCE.
