Clinical History
The patient is a 33-year-old female with possible lower extremity DVT.
Technique
The patient was administered 20 mc of Technetium-99m Acutech, and planar images were obtained over the
pelvis, femurs, calves and feet in the anterior and posterior projections at 30 minutes postinjection, one hour
postinjection and two hours postinjection.
Findings
Note is made of minimal asymmetric increased activity seen in the left anterior images over
the lower calves on the 30-minute projection, however, the target-to-background ratio does not increase over
the next 1.5 hours, and, in fact, becomes less prominent. No other areas of abnormal uptake are seen.
Activity is seen within the bladder.
Impressions
NO EVIDENCE OF ACUTE DEEP VENOUS THROMBOSIS.
