The
images (AP and Lateral) demonstrate an osseous outgrowth at the medial
posterior metaphysis of the distal femur.
Additional MRI images are shown.

Images 1 (coronal), 2 (axial), and
4 (sagital), are T1-weighted. They demonstrate an osseous lesion
that extends from the metaphysis and extends away from the joint space.
The marrow cavity is continuous from the femur into the lesion. The
cortex is uninterupted. Images 3 (axial), and 5 (coronal) are FSE
fat-suppressed T2-weighted images. They again show that the lesion
appears continuous with the femur marrow and cortex. These images
also demonstrate a bright cartilagenous cap (yellow arrows). These
findings are consistant with a benign osteochondroma.
